Parks of the St. Lawrence offers a variety of beautiful day-use areas perfect for your next family outing, lakeside lunch, or casual summer adventure. From sandy beaches to scenic picnic spots, our day-use areas offer everything you need to unwind and make the most of the outdoors.

All day-use areas are first-come, first-served. No reservations for beaches or picnic areas. For best availability, arrive at 9am when the beach opens.

Get Your Day Use Permit

A daily or annual vehicle day use permit is required for access to all day-use areas and beaches, this includes any location along the Long Sault Parkway where you leave your vehicle.


Annual day use permit holder? Even if you have a valid permit, we kindly ask that you check in each time you visit.

Purchase an Annual or Daily Day Use Permit: Purchase your permit in person upon arrival at campground registration buildings.


Reciprocal Pass Holder? If you've visited Upper Canada Village or Fort Henry, be sure to ask for your reciprocal pass - it can be redeemed for day-use access


Already Camping? 

Great news - your camping permit includes access to any day-use area on your arrival and departure days (hours vary based on time of season).





Activities & Amenities

Enjoy a range of outdoor activities during your visit:

  • Swimming (beaches are unsupervised)
  • Use of on-site washrooms
  • Picnic tables available at each location
  • Charcoal BBQs (Mille Roches, Woodlands, Brown’s Bay)
  • Boat launches (where available)
  • Playground equipment (where available)
  • Fishing permitted with a valid license.
  • NEW! Outdoor showers, wudu stations, unisex washrooms, wheelchair accessible access ramp, canteen, picnic shelter and more! (Brown’s Bay Beach)
Please note:

Pets are welcome in all day-use and picnic areas but are not permitted on beaches or in designated swimming areas. All pets must remain on a leash no longer than two metres.

Campfires are not permitted at any day-use or beach area.
